IMPORTANT : Date of Entry
IT IS ESSENTIAL TO RECEIVE A STAMP IN YOUR PASSPORT WITH THE DATE OF ENTRY IN THE EUROPEAN UNION OR AN OFFICIAL DOCUMENT PROVIDED BY THE FIRST COUNTRY OF ENTRY IF YOU ENTERED WITH AN IDENTITY CARD.
Without it, you may not be legally able to prove with certainty the date of entry being after 24 Febuary 2022. You may not benefit from temporary protection and fall into less favorable protection statuses.
COVID controls to France
As at 03/21/2021:

- Trains: No control but mask is mandatory
Cars
The road network in France is safe and in good conditions.
Express roads (Autoroutes) are toll road. You have to pay with a card.
National and small roads are free.
People often share vehicles with the BlaBlaCar app. It is very popular in France.
Gasoline prices are currently around 2 EUR per liter. The current price of gasoline is reported daily on this gasoline government website .
You will need to be insured to drive in Europe. There is a green sticker showing proof of insurance.
Cars are needed in small towns or in villages. Big cities have public bus and sometimes metro or tramway.

The high speed train is very efficient. Often faster than planes in France or Germany.

Some cheap plane companies : Ryanair , Easyjet . Be aware that low cost companies often fly to secondary airports far from cities.

Buses
Some free buses ran by non-profit organizations sometimes come to the border of Poland and Romania/Moldova. It is difficult to know their schedule or if such transportation is trustworthy.
